AMETIC, in cooperation with the Technology Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) and European group EIT Food, gathered more than 60 SMEs from the ICT and agrifood sectors, to promote the digitalization of the agri-food sector in our country.

The meeting was promoted by the pan-European initiative EIT Food of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), which shares the objective of promoting innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector.

In addition to reporting on the imminent call for aid from the DIVA project, the objective of the meeting was to raise awareness of the opportunities posed by digital technologies to make the agri-food sector more efficient and sustainable, as well as to put SMEs in contact with the ICT and agri-food sectors to detect collaboration opportunities in this sense through innovation projects.

Companies such as the Swiss Bühler and the Andalusian Tier1, AI Talentum and Agroplanning explained their successful cases of digitization of the sector, while the organizers stimulated a series of parallel work tables to detect opportunities for collaboration among attendees through digitization projects of the agricultural sector.
