Spanish partners of DIVA were present at the Smart Agrifood Summit’18 international fair, that was held in Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga (FYCMA) Malaga (Spain) on 20th to 22nd of June,  organizing an regional workshop in which the audience was informed about the kick-off of the project and the financing opportunities put on the table by the DIVA, which will allocate around € 3M to support the digital transformation in the agri-food sector, and forestal and environment related industrial sectors. 

AMETIC’s specialist in digital transformation, Javier Valero, and CTA’s business development consultant, Macarena Ureña, were responsible for presenting to the audience, mainly agrofood SME’s, the main features of the DIVA project.

The exhibition took place in the Speaker Corner of the event that gathered around 350  companies and 1200 professionals from 19 countries linked to the digital transformation of the agrofood sector. Among them were a large number of entrepreneurs, startups, investors, companies and government agencies around innovation.

During the presentation, the speakers described the  catalogue of diverse mechanisms of participation and funding opportunities that the DIVA project will make available to SMEs and stakeholders in the agri-food, forestry and environmental sectors, that will kick off at the end of this year 2018.

In addition, the workshop was completed by Professor of the University of Seville Manuel Pérez Ruiz, expert in precision agriculture, who presented his vision on the role of technologies and their competitive advantages in the agri-food production sector.
