Precision Agriculture (PA) could be greatlybenefitted by introduction of technologies that allow determination at the field of the levels of harmful substances that affect the product’s quantity & quality,such as mycotoxins in vine products. Mycotoxins are currently determined off-the production site and only in the final product by methods requiring lab infrastructures and skilled personnel. DIONYSOS, by further developing the patented by ThetaMetrisis sensing platform (FR-Bio), aims to overcome the hurdles of lab methods and provide a holistic digital food safety guard at the Point-of-Need. FR-Bio has been already evaluated at the lab and delivered fast & accurate detection of Ochratoxin A and Fumonisins. In DIONYSOS, the FR-Bio will evolve in a portable system for detection of Ochratoxin A and Fumonisins at the field through its validation at vineyards and/or wineries.
