We propose an all-in-one digital and cloud-based decision support system (DSS) for food distributors and wholesalers. Today, decision-making processes fall behind current technological and digitization trends, and are still largely human-dependent, error-prone, and time-consuming.

To develop and mature this innovative DSS, we will focus on the berry market due to the important role distributors and wholesalers play in this industry. We will integrate the data sources used by decision-makers in our Big Data platform (Thales), transform the data collected to key indicators, and develop a unique channel (cloud-based dashboards) for decision-makers to access all the information supporting their decisions (e.g. current and historic market prizes classified by region). The solution will be commercialized through a B2B SAAS service.
