LocalGreen is a startup established in 2019 to disrupt traditional way of agriculture. LocalGreen developed a new concept of vertical farming (the practice of growing crops vertically in a controlled-environment which aims to optimize plant growth through soilless farming techniques) based on maximizing yield and quality with an important focus on environmental and financial sustainability (-75% of competitor costs).
LocalGreen with its innovative production model aims to produce locally the freshest leafy greens on the market using 95% less water than traditional farming and no pesticides. The local production of LocalGreen will simplify the fresh vegetables supply chain by reaching the market the same day of the harvest. This means less km, less emission of CO2, longer shelf life and fresher products.
The innovative production unit will reduce the initial capital needs and will be much more efficient than traditional vertical farming. Our recipe is simplification and automation.
